Abstract

The objective of the study was to compare food consumption expenditure during school recess at Santísima Trinidad High School, by sex and academic year. The population consisted of 33 secondary school students from Santísima Trinidad High School in 2025. The technique used was an interview, and the instrument used was an interview guide. The results showed that the average consumption expenditure for male students was S/. 3.30, for female students it was S/. 3.20, for sixth-year students it was S/. 3.60, and for seventh-year students it was S/. 3.20; and for all students it was S/. 3.27. Finally, the study concludes that there are no significant differences in consumption expenditure by students by sex and academic year during recess hours at Santísima Trinidad High School in 2025.
