Abstract

The aim of the study was to propose an alternative that would improve the effectiveness and learning experience of the Braille system in children with visual impairments. The Braille doll was designed as a guinea pig due to its familiarity, attractiveness and representativeness of Peruvian culture. Finally, the study concluded with the proposal of the “Cuy Braillino” as an innovative and accessible solution for teaching Braille in Peru due to its culturally adapted design, combined with its affordable cost and local production.
