Abstract

The study had the objective of reflecting on the application of mathematical concepts in art. For this, mandalas were built combining artistic techniques and mathematical procedures such as the construction of polygons and two-dimensional shapes using a ruler and compass, and identifying the emerging geometric transformations. It is concluded that mathematics is implicit in art through concepts such as polygons and geometric transformations.
