EYES THAT KILL
Keywords:
Mandala, geometric transformations, mathematics, art, gazesAbstract
The aim of the work was to reflect on the use of mathematical concepts in art. The work consisted of creating a mandala as a meaning or message, using polygons constructed with a ruler and compass, to finally identify certain geometric transformations in its components. The work symbolizes “People's criticisms through their latent gazes”, those eyes that only see appearances and judge without valuing what is inside the heart. It is concluded that mathematical and artistic concepts are related, as in mandalas that have personal, artistic and mathematical meaning.
