Abstract

The aim of the work was to reflect on the use of mathematical concepts in art. The work consisted of creating a mandala as a meaning or message, using various mathematical concepts. The work represents through a compass “The search for direction and purpose in life despite obstacles” inviting us to reflect on our own lives and find inspiration in our own struggles. It is concluded that mathematics and art are intrinsically related, since mathematical principles allow us to appreciate beauty and aesthetics in various works of art.
