Abstract

The study had the objective of reflecting on the use of geometric transformation in art. The study began with the creation of a mandala by the author to later identify translations, symmetry and rotation both in the structure and in its details. It is concluded that art involves various mathematical knowledge, such as geometric transformations, polygons, series, among others; that enable the author to express his ideas and feelings.
