Abstract

The objective of this study was to describe food consumption preferences during school recess at Santísima Trinidad High School in 2025. The sample consisted of 24 secondary school students from Santísima Trinidad High School in 2025. The results showed that 63% of students consume sweets and fatty foods 4 to 5 times per week; additionally, 50% of students never consume fruits and vegetables, 54% never consume dairy products, 33% never eat legumes, cereals, potatoes, bread, and pasta, 29% never eat meat or eggs, and 29% never eat nuts and seeds. It was concluded that students have a low preference for healthy foods and a high preference for sweets and fatty foods.
