Abstract

The topic discussed is about the golden ratio, its influence on composition and visual perception in the artistic field, in addition to its origins, mode of use, importance, what it is used for in the artistic field, accompanied by some examples. The objective of the study is to carry out an exhaustive analysis, where the mode of use of the “golden spiral” is revealed, exploring how the golden ratio became a main tool to achieve aesthetic perfection, incorporating the origins, the importance and uses of this mathematical method in art. It is concluded that there is a deep connection between mathematics and art, a link that transcends simple calculation to delve into the heart of aesthetic creation, being perceived and manifested in various ways, being a not so complex mathematical tool; indeed, a fundamental key to unraveling the mysteries of perfection in art, a legacy that continues to influence and guide creators in their ceaseless search for ideal beauty.
