Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the problem of eucalyptus logging using the concept of progressions, in order to propose sustainable alternatives and promote environmental awareness. The practical analysis was based on the construction of a mathematical model for eucalyptus logging using the concept of progressions. The conclusion was that the mathematical model is tn = 1149 - 69n; furthermore, unplanned logging causes soil erosion, loss of biodiversity, alteration of the hydrological cycle, among other factors, affecting both biodiversity and the communities that depend on these resources.
